GQI respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this privacy policy. This privacy policy describes the types of information we may collect from you and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

This privacy policy applies to information we collect:

  • On our website (herein referred to as Websites)
  • On other websites used by GQI for scheduling and planning purposes (herein referred to as Websites)
  • In email, text, and other electronic messages between you and the website (herein referred to as Websites)
  • Through webinar, workshops and online events sponsored by GQI (herein referred to as Websites)

Please read this privacy policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Websites or otherwise participate in GQI activities. By accessing or using the Websites, you agree to this privacy policy. This privacy policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of our Websites after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the privacy policy periodically for updates.

What information do we collect

We collect two types of information – site analytics and certain user information as per the following:

Analytics:

We use Google Analytics, an industry standard website traffic and activity, monitoring solution. It captures the number of times an article is read and how many users visit our website per calendar month.

Personalised information:

We collect information from you when you place an inquiry on our website, ask for an offer, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey or for the purpose of contractual fulfilment.

When using our products and services you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, information about your company, position and department.

How we use your information

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To improve our website and customer service – we continually strive to improve our customer service based on the information and feedback we receive
  • To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us
  • To send product updates, service updates, event invitations and periodic newsletter emails
  • For any other purpose with your consent

Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your explicit consent. Exceptions to this are described below.

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.

  • If we believe, disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of GQI, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Right to review or delete your information

You have the right to access, edit or delete your data at any time. Please email us at marketing@gqiconsulting.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Note:  If you are using an account for special services, we cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account.

How do we protect your information?

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorised access, use, alteration, and disclosure.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our websites, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Websites. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any settings or security measures contained on the websites.

Your legal rights

You have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data. Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a web site saves on a visitor’s computer and then the visitor’s browser provides to the web site operator each time the visitor returns to the information collecting web site. When GQI collects cookies or makes use of a browser’s local storage capabilities, they help GQI identify visitors, their usage of the site, and their Web site access preferences. GQI may also use information derived from cookies or local storage to direct the visitor to information similar to what they visited and thereby market GQI products and services by personalizing the experience on the visitor’s web page on GQI’s site. Visitors will be offered the opportunity to control cookie placement. Visitors who do not wish to have any cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using GQI’s website, with the drawback that certain features of the web site may not function properly without the aid of cookies. Visitors that want to limit third party advertising cookies can enable their browser’s “Do Not Track” functionality.

It must be noted, pages on GQI’s website will occasionally embed content from third party sites, such as YouTube for videos and Taleo for jobs. GQI’s website also allows for content to be shared through social networks but only at your request. Embedding and sharing content may result in as cookies being set by those third party sites. GQI does not control the dissemination of those cookies. Please visit these third party sites if you wish to learn more about their use of cookies and similar tools.
